Under The Fig Tree

Jesus was in the process of choosing his first 12 disciples. They came from from different walks of life; one was a doctor, another a tax collector and others ordinary fishermen. Just 12 ordinary men, no different than you and me.

After Philip was chosen he ran and found Nathanael, setting under a fig tree. Philip, with great excitement, informs Nathanael, "We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote -- Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."

Nathanael wasn't very impressed upon hearing this news. In fact he says to Philip, "Nazareth! Can anything good come out of Nazareth?' Philip said to him, 'Come and see'"

I am sure you have asked that very same question about yourself. 'Can any good come from my life...this situation...the challenges I am facing?' God says in response 'Come and see.' Come to Him and open your heart to hear what He has to say about YOU and your life and your future!

If you live in the Pottstown, PA area, I invite you to Calvary Christian Center. If you don't I encourage you to find a Bible Believing church and attend it's services.
